Flynn Memorial Uniting Church

16/4/2017

Our Easter Sunday morning is spent at the Flynn Memorial Uniting Church and we enjoy the very unique service very much. Amongst the usual instruments is a harp, which adds a romantic background to the hymns, and a visitor joins in with a bassoon – I’m just not sure our voices did it justice. A very special component of the service is the participation of the Anangu women including prayers, bible readings and hymns in the Pitjantjatjara language.

I think this service had a bit of everything – a tourist evens attends briefly to photograph the inside of the church before disappearing back into the market crowds.
